I'm happiest when I'm outside and moving: hiking a new trail, finding a lookout point, or just wandering somewhere I haven't been. It's where my head clears and the best ideas usually show up uninvited. I've even taken it as far as jumping out of a plane, because apparently a good view is worth the nerves.

There's nothing like being in a crowd when the set really lands, like this Tame Impala concert: the lights, the noise, the feeling that everyone in the room is locked into the same moment. I chase that feeling any chance I get, whether it's a festival stage or a tiny venue I stumbled into. Live music is one of the few places I go to just be present.

I like keeping things: ticket stubs, photos, little scraps of a day worth remembering. Scrapbooking gives me somewhere to put all of it, cutting and arranging until a page actually feels like the memory it's holding. It's slow, a little messy, and the opposite of anything digital, which is exactly why I love it.

Cooking is where I get to be hands-on in a completely different way than design: no client feedback, no revisions, just me, a recipe (or no recipe), and something good at the end. A well-seared steak with a glass of wine is my favorite kind of night in. It's less about the finished plate and more about the process of getting there.

This is Honey, my poodle and full-time shadow. She's got more personality than most people I know and zero interest in letting me sit still for too long. Most of my 'downtime' involves her somehow... walks, naps, or just being dramatically underfoot while I try to get things done.
